Munich, 1 March 2022: Cobrainer is excited to announce an important addition to its leadership team. Sascha Stojakovic officially starts his new role as Chief Technology Officer today, bringing unique expertise in both the IT and business aspects of product development.
Sascha first gained experience as a software developer and IT consultant, after which he worked as an internalized software expert. He then moved to the Munich area with his wife and focused on IT consultancy in areas like e-commerce, workforce management and entertainment, leading various international cross-location teams and departments. As a leader at ProSiebenSAT1, he added streaming and cloud platform expertise to his extensive IT knowledge. He went on to gain experience in the start-up arena as a company founder and most recently served as VP Engineering at Joyn. Now he brings his skillset and enthusiasm to the HR tech start-up, ready to advance the Cobrainer mission of empowering people to follow their true calling.
To start his career, Sascha earned back-to-back degrees in computer science and business administration at the University of Innsbruck—all while supporting himself with every student job imaginable, from bartender and volleyball referee to ski and snowboard instructor. He collected all kinds of skills and experiences along the way and looks forward to this new chapter in his career journey.
We sat down with Sascha to ask him about why he’s excited to join the Cobrainer team and what his goals are for the future.
Hi, Sascha! Can you tell us what drew you to Cobrainer? What makes you excited to join us?
There were several reasons why Cobrainer caught my eye. One of the first things that got me excited was the product. I wanted to contribute to a company that was putting a product on the market that offered real value to people. Cobrainer got my attention because its platform helps companies empower their employees to pursue careers in which they love what they do. I am excited to help develop the platform and the transparent work culture it represents!
What do you hope to achieve as CTO? What is your vision for Cobrainer?
We need to continue developing our software to be user-centric and scalable. There will always be room for improvement, which is why I prefer to see it as a “living product” that will continually evolve over time. But in order to make any of this happen, the most important goal I think we need to achieve is to nurture an open, transparent and motivating company culture that allows everyone at Cobrainer to grow and thrive.
It’s really important that we all understand the purpose behind our product so that we can work together to succeed. This means building strong connections between tech and all of our other departments and making sure everyone finds fulfillment and excitement in what they do. If our own people love coming to work and believe in our product, everything else will fall into place.
Since we’re all about skills, we have one more question for you: What unique skill do you have that has helped you throughout your career?
I have always been an eager learner. Asking questions, learning new concepts and embracing different perspectives and change has always kept me excited about what I do. Being curious makes work fun.
