HR tech startup Cobrainer has raised 11 million euros to further development in this area: the company plans to advance its cross-industry, AI-based skill platform, along with talent and career management across Europe. Series A funding led by existing investors Linden Capital, Vogel Ventures, Michael Brehm and Wayra, as well as Gregor Bieler, former General Manager at Microsoft Germany provides Cobrainer a useful boost to its current speed and trajectory. To expand on its recent successes, Cobrainer has also bolstered its management team and board with new and noteworthy additions.

Cobrainer’s platform offers employees individual skill profiles, prospective career paths, and relevant training measures within mere seconds. An attractive win-win: companies see immediately which employees are best suited for open positions, saving the company time and money filling vacancies. Simultaneously, employees increase their productivity and job satisfaction as they discover more opportunities for growth, consequently increasing employee retention.

Cobrainer Continues to Develop and Strengthen Board and Management

On the strategic side, Cobrainer is ratcheting up the level of expertise and personnel power. Overall, Cobrainer is on track to increase its team by 150% over 2021 and intends to more than double again next year. Significant additions this year include Saša Savić and Julian Baumann, both esteemed professionals in their respective fields, further strengthening the management team.

Saša Savić joins Cobrainer, bringing with him years of experience after concluding his time as Vice President Global Sales of Hamburg-based mobility provider FreeNow and as Director of Sales and Partnerships at American Express. As Chief Sales Officer, Savić will dial up sales activities, expanding corresponding structures and building new processes.

Julian Baumann, taking up the reins of Chief Marketing Officer, brings deep marketing experience, having already built up marketing at decacorn (10x Unicorn) Celonis. In his role, Baumann will reinforce and expand the Cobrainer brand and messaging, while ramping up the value-added inbound marketing strategy.

Furthermore, Gregor Bieler, former General Manager at Microsoft Germany, has agreed to lead the company's supervisory board.

Cobrainer has managed to create the world's largest skills database – every day, its platform enables hundreds of thousands of skills transactions for prolific clients, such as Telefónica Deutschland and Porsche. Focusing on skills and career transparency, Cobrainer enables enterprise customers to save time, effort and money by accelerating their internal recruiting fourfold. The platform reduces recruiting costs by an average of more than twenty thousand euros per hire, while substantially increasing job satisfaction, employee retention and willingness for additional training among employees.
